Message: redox flow through batteries

The itinerary for the mines and money show in London England at the end of the year just came out and I noticed a large focus on redox flow through batteries.

While lithium is great for batteries for electric cars due to light weight and getting from 0 to 60 in so many seconds.....it is also expensive.

With backup for solar, wind, peakshaving, utility back up etc......weight doesn't really matter.

And the zero to 60 ...in so many seconds....doesn't matter.

The big focus is vanadium redox flow through batteries .....and...

iron-chromium flow through batteries...

Biggest stumbling block in this industry has been cost and availability (politically safe countries)...

The ROF will be able to take advantage of this market.

Coincidentally ?? the high USA dollar and some other forces...created some convenient chapter 11 bankruptcies .....much like we saw in the coal and iron ore companies across North America.

If time allows...some interesting reading for you below...did you know Ontario "had" a 10 year commitment for vanadium redox flow through batteries....the project was supposed to start 2017...but due to the bankruptcy "stuff"....I suppose this is temporarily shelved?

I wonder who will scoop these yummy companies like sunedison and enervault???and their intellectual properties.????

SunEdison was ultimately hoping to install 5,000 microgrids over five years, working with the New Delhi-based Omnigrid Micropower Company (OMC).

OMC said its rural electrification program, which received a $4.5 million boost from the Rockefeller Foundation this March, is not in danger. At least 100 of the microgrids are due to be funded by the foundation
