I suspect that Noront has looked at all possible routes and how to implement them. It was in Noront's interest to examine all possibilites and determine the easiest route.

What Noront has not done (I do not know but just surmise from the posts here) is fork over money to the natives for more studies, as was done by the governments. Shame on politicians and cudos for Noront, imho.

It is just more griping from natives and communication is the means of it.
