We do not need any Maori or any other example. What we need is some common sense to realize what is and the back bone to act on it.
I suspect that our bureaucrats do know what is and what is needed. The problem with them is that they lack the leadership qualities to DO what is needed in a timely manner. Leadership imo is not doing what every one on the street already is convinced of but to convince and lead them to a better path.
Also to add, that they are affraid to do what is needed lest they be painted as being dictatorial or discriminatory. I can understand that but am low on sympathy towards them. Hence my commentary here.
Sorry to rant to no end, BUT I believe that politicians exist to make it easier for us all to determine and implement methods of how we should live, and not just react to issues that have already become serious problems.
Proactivity is the issue and should be applied to the Ring and remainder of province, Ed.
