Support is needed for a ferrochrome plant. I just cannot see the support being for a "Noront" ferrochrome plant.
The article says it would not be on the scale of the one planned by Cliffs, however by making the plant a "ROF" processing plant you could well end up with the size and widespread benefits that would encourage support from the provincial and fereral governments. You would create jobs and opportunities for al of the ROF participants.
You could also greatly reduce costs by applying the reduction process KWG has helped develop. With possible billions of dollars being available through China participation and railroad expertise after extensive study and analysis - there are certainly many factors that lean towards an overall ROF development plan and not the singular company approach we contine to see being presented.
