Those involved in the proposed Trans-load facility in Sioux Lookout are ready to show the provincial government that they are set and its time to spend the earmarked funds to move the project forward.

Various municipal officials, industry leaders and First Nations will gather tomorrow to tour the eastside property and create excitement for the project.

Mayor Doug Lawrance says it's time to get moving because he wants to show the government that they are ready for the money they committed.

Lawrence also says that he wants to show them the synergy between the private sector, the municipalities as well as area First Nations.

He adds that Ontario is the only major province in Canada that has not accessed its north by road and stresses it's time to act to improve the lives of everyone.

The truck-to-rail storage and transfer facility would facilitate the Ring of Fire, related mineral interests in Sault Ste. Marie as well as other northern development opportunities.
