Tinman, this price move of Ferrochrome is very significant!
During the bidding war between Noront and Cliffs for the Freewest property, the price of Ferrochrome was around $2.11.
Look at the historical chart below.

The bidding for Freewest started in Oct. 2009 and Cliffs concluded with a win in Jan, 2010.
Here is what is important.
When Cliffs announced their successful takeover they were valued at 4.3 billion dollars and had revenues of 1.5 billion dollars per year.
Right after Cliffs grabbed Freewest for 240 million at the end of Jan. 2010...they boasted on ABC eyewitness news ..the following,
"once the mine is open we will able to increase our profits by 50%"
So, if a company that does 1.5 billion in revenues can be worth 4.3 billion...
A company that does 750 million per year is worth approximately ... ...what?
now keep in mind that the price of ferrochrome is HIGHER now than it was when Cliffs acquired Freewest.
