There was a tremendous effort made to keep the Noront share price down after ROF infrastructure news yesterday

-A Timmins article downplayed the news stating Wynne had no money for this road...Yet Ontario news stated months ago that the final sale of the Hydro one share raising would be spent on project like the Ring of Fire.

-Trudeau many times publicly stated the importance of the ROF yet ...yesterday he tweeted only about the solar eclipse??

Regarding the eclipse he stated "That was amazing."

yet there was another very amazing announcement ....infrastructure to the ROF.

If you check Jim Carr's twitter...not one mention of the ROF. 

If you check Gravelle's twitter ...not one mention of the ROF.

Let's face it ...if you were Wynne and you knew that the solar eclipse was big news and MANY PEOPLE would be away from their computers trying to catch a glimpse of this event....Much like Trump and Trudeau....why on earth would you pick this day to compete against...

Why not release it on a better day with more bang and more people paying attention?

A friend of mine commented with ...." I don't get it...I checked the Globe and Mail and CBC on the internet and not one word on the ROF." 

Yes , there were articles to be found if you googled Ring of Fire by  both news sources but these stories were not listed as major news on their websites....

for folks watching the eclipse yesterday and looking at regular news sources and reading headlines only...the ROF announcement was not to be readily found as a headline.

AND YET....the ROF is so important that it was the regular topic in the Ontario Legislature for YEARS.

How often were we told ...this is the rival to the Oil Sands.....Once in a century discovery....and yesterday ...we got a start date. 

Up until yesterday ...you could not put a value on this project. Yes, there were billions of dollars there ..but....if you could not get them out ....then what value could you put on them?  When you were hearing stuff like...."will not be developed in my lifetime and I plan on living at least another 50 years"...then you personally saw this project as valueless to you.

Yesterday's news allowed the use of a calculator to find the approximate value of this project. We did not have that before.

The one extra year is ..nothing... We've heard there is enough chrome to mine for over 100 years...

If you look at Detour gold as only ONE example ..you'll see the share price was MUCH higher before the mine was open.

This was  because the Gold price was higher.

Nickel and zinc are moving up and it was nice to see nickel over $5 bucks again.

And ...Noront has been drilling and we do not know the results of that yet.

So back to my question....why was this news downplayed even by Wynne with her timing of the Eclipse date??

And why have we not heard a single peep about the proposed sale of Algoma by Maga(Make Algoma Great again...which was led by Deutche bank)? There was a motion before the court on last Friday. Where is the news on the result of that???

Why so quiet about this??

Noront has mentioned the following:

-they have enough money until the end of Sept.

-they need 600-700 million for the mine

-they  will announce the location of the chromite smelter before the end of the year.. Smelter is approx 1.5 billion dollars

So where is this money going to come from ? How will it be raised? WHO WILL BE THE CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER??

If there is some big entity coming on board or if there is some merger taking place...there is a set share price that has been negotiated.

If it was just the market makers holding this back yesterday, I would think otherwise...but I saw the hold back from everyone..wynne included with the choice of a very lousy competing date with little publicity in advance.

It was like she hoped you were not around to hear or see the news.

I'm looking forward to seeing the next chapter since tremendous efforts ALL AROUND were made to "help" the cause of keeping this price from running.
