Kenora MP Supporting All-Weather Road To Ring Of Fire

Posted on Saturday, September 2, 2017 12:37 PM

The MP of Kenora still believes the dream of an All-Weather Road to the Ring of Fire will become a reality.

Four First Nations have already stated that a provincial announcement was premature.

Bob Nault says he's hopeful a land agreement can be reached, noting the project is just too important to abandon.

He says economic and mining developments are important, but what's even more important is the connection of the surrounding communities to the Pickle Lake highway.

Nault says the road will open up the north and help develop modern communities with all of the amenities that we take for granted.

Nault adds the Federal government will be making announcements about how they plan to support new developments in the Ring of Fire.
