After visiting relatives for many decades in the neighbourhood of Waterloo, Ont. = Menonite country. Always had to watch out for horse drawn carrages etc. because they do not want to use technology. BUT after all this time I only now heard that they do not pay taxes, refuse to or do not some of them.
No matter the details, but due to that they pay out of pocket for some services such as health.
Sooo I ask anyone here how does that compare to the native communities near the Ring of Fire? Apparently they are exempt from taxation and what ever else, so What are they entitled with regard to government services?
AND what may we, I mean Noront and other mining companies, may be obliged to pay to these natives? Good paying jobs apparently are not enough.
It is a weekend so I ask this distracting question becauese and curious and nosy, lol Ed.
