Quote from the article Babjak1 posted:
“There are decisions that are being made right now that affect my community,” Moonias continued. “When is the government going to take serious action to respect and recognize my First Nation, our First Nation? That is the big question that has to be answered by the government today and tomorrow if we are truly going to have reconciliation.”
Wynne said the province and First Nations have a complex relationship and that the government is continuing to work to bring opportunities to the people living in remote communities.
Comment: Wayne, do you remember these moments when your community of Neskantaga was respected and recognized?
1) The Government is currently taking care of your water problems, but you will have to be patient.

......In a statement released Tuesday, the Ministry of Indigenous Affairs said $34.7 million in new projects are underway.
........The goal is ending long-term drinking water advisories, and the projects include new wells, repairs to existing systems, training, as well as designing and building new water treatment plants.......
"Here we have 18 projects across northwestern Ontario that will address long-term drinking water advisories and alleviate them," said Don Rusnak, MP for Thunder Bay-Rainy River.
"There's everything from design and feasibility to construction, right through training programs for the operators," he said.
"So, everything from the conception to the water coming out of the end of the tap, nice and clean."
Today's announcement is part of the $1.8 billion for First Nations water and wastewater infrastructure the government promised as part of its 2016 budget.......

So your community will have a newly constructed water treatment facility by October 2018.

2) Oh....and here you are Wayne with a big smile on your face as the Government once again announces the funding that will be going toward Broadband Internet to your community....nice. Wish the government would run Broadband to my area and I'm in the Greater GTA.

I can understand your impatience Wayne, but it would appear efforts are being made toward reconciliation, and not all those efforts have a dollar figure attached to them; remember that. My gut tells me that there are other issues you would like to discuss, which really have nothing to do with the Government. Maybe these issues that I speak of actually need to be addressed between your community and the rest of Matawa, because I think we all know what it is your really angry about....And from where I sit our Government is doing fine job so far with reconciliation, by both respecting and recognizing your First Nation; as well as many others.
