These lines in your posting intrigue me....a quiet weekend with a cup of coffee enables me.
"In 2014, Outokumpu has provided updated estimates on the proved ore reserves and mineral resources of the Kemi mine, which is claimed to be
As per the estimates, the mine has proved ore reserves of 50.1 million tons."
These numbers being tossed around get so large it is easy to get lost. I wondered is this a lot of chromite? I discovered this article on South Africa to lear of their reserves....
"The World's Largest Producer: The local chromite mining sector is the world's largest producer and during 2015, 15Mt of chromite, representing 49% of the global total, was produced. The country also contains reserves of 200Mt, which is more than 41% of the world's total."
So South Africa has 200 million tons of chromite in reserve. 4x that of Kemi.
Looking at the known chromite total in the ROF instead of adding up the known from the many Blackxxxx deposits I find from KWG site....
http://kwgresources.com/black-horse-chromite/
"Should this structural reconstruction be correct, and if the chromite deposits were subjected to drilling to a depth of 2 kilometers, the current resource total of 343 milion tonnes for all deposits could triple to a billion tonnes."
343mt vs 50mt and 200mt with the likelihood of 1000mt is mind boggling.
I know total value estimates of the rings worth are just that.....but when looking at the mind boggling list of goodies discovered to date in the ring since Eagles Nest was discovered it does not seem such a stretch to believe......
"First some essential background info before I continue. Discovered in 2007, the Ring of Fire mining camp, located 540 kilometres northeast of Thunder Bay, in the James Bay lowlands, will probably go down in the history books as one of the most significant Canadian mineral finds of the past century. It is estimated that the chromite deposits are so large that we could be mining up there for the next hundred years and that the total mineral potential of the region – chromite, nickel, copper, PGMs, vanadium, gold – could easily exceed the legendary trillion-dollar Sudbury basin!"
I would suggest to read all of this article as it is still applicable after 7 years. In addition I would read this one by Sudol as well......he seems to have had a handle on the future with his thoughts...

"Visit Finland Chromite Operations
Another way to build enormous trust and allay environmental concerns among the Ring of Fire communities is to bring the the Chiefs, some of their councillors and a few elders from each First Nation on a trip to the highly efficient Kemi chromite open-pit mine in Finland and a nearby ferrochrome facility in the town of Tornio. As I mentioned in my previous column, Finland has one of the highest standards of living in Europe, has a mining culture similar to Canada and is as environmentally conscious.
On the way back, this group could visit the very successful nickel mining operations in Labrador, Newfoundland and northern Quebec operated by Vale and Xstrata Nickel respectively. Both projects partnered with the local Aboriginal or Inuit communities whose members make up significant percentages of the workforces and have also created many indigenous businesses that supply the mines.
The Ontario government should take the lead with this proposed initiative."
Looks like Sudbury beat them to it.

In short......current SP at .355 with major announcements soon to be revealed regardless of the actual shovels in the ground date and a recession proof basket of mixed goodies......priceless.
