The writ hasn’t dropped yet, but PC candidate Ross Romano isn’t wasting any time getting the ball rolling on the 2018 Provincial Election. The current Sault MPP officially opened his campaign office on Great Northern Road to a small crowd Saturday morning.

Romano thanked his wife Heather for being his biggest supporter and encouraging him to run in last year’s Sault Ste. Marie riding by-election when former sitting MPP David Orazietti resigned his seat and cabinet post under the Wynne government.

According to recent polls, there’s a 92 percent chance of the Doug Ford PC’s to form the next government in Ontario.  Romano said the party is united and have the focus of defeating Kathleen Wynne and the Liberals. “we’re going to continue what we’re doing and that is getting our message out that this government is tired and not concerned about the people of Ontario” Romano said.

The first time Member of Provincial Parliament wants to continue his push for the city to land a ferrochrome processing plant “I won’t stop until we get it” Romano told the crowd of party faithful, “I have put a lot of work into the ring of fire project, I have spoken frequently to the CEO of NorOnt to make sure we’re doing everything possible we can”

The Provincial election will take place June 7th.
