Project summary

Marten Falls First Nation plans to build, operate and maintain an all-weather multi-use road from the northern end of Painter Lake forestry road to the community of Marten Falls in northern Ontario. They have agreed to follow an environmental assessment process for this project. This assessment will look at how the road and any associated infrastructure could impact the environment.

The assessment process starts with a work plan—called the terms of reference—that outlines how the assessment will be completed, including studies and consultation plans.
