Thanks for your post. It helps to some extent in understanding, at least, in why things are with respect to the First Nations.  How Chief Louie fared in his dealings with the Canadian Government certainly is important but what is meaningful to me is that he used his talent, knowledge and leadership ability to create a successful and economicaly sound First Nations Band.  We need more leaders like him who aren't afraid to call a spade a spade.
