Wow, how lucky for this FN reserve to be given this electric school bus. Would love to see some of these in my community..one day... for the school kids rather than the kids having to breathe in the stinky fumes as the bus loads the kids...
I wonder where the minerals came from to make this wonderful bus?

Wauzhushk Onigum goes green

The first electric school bus for our riding is being shown off. Lion Electric Company delivered the all-electric bus to Wauzhushk Onigum yesterday, as the community works to reduce their carbon footprint.
“Wauzhushk Onigum will lead the way in green energy through this sustainable method of transportation, and hope that both Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities will follow their lead,” said Kenora MP Bob Nault.
The community is also looking at installing solar panels, to help further reduce their carbon footprint.
