I would have to question Doug Morrison's motivation for his comments.  He is the president and CEO of Centre for Excellence in Mining and INNOVATION!!

The idea that someone who leads a group who researches new ways to do things speaks so negatively about something that hasn't been done before is embarrasing.  

CEMI's focus is all about new ways to do things, with a big focus on deep mining and dealing with rock mechanics, heat stress, etc.  These will not really be challenges in the ROF.  Is that why he makes such a comment?

They get a lot of government grants for their work, so these comments are poor for him to make, in my opinion.
