Message: Direction of New Matawa Regional Process.....Agreed Upon, or NOT

If everyone in Matawa is in agreement that all resource development on their lands is be done with the involvment of all 9 Matawa communities, then why is it that Neskantaga and Eabametoong feel this need to go rogue and disrupt the Working Groups resolution process.  Seems counter productive, and undermining, for them to speak out about their mistreatment when they don't seem to have the blessing or backing by the other Matawa communities.  Again, no other community has come forward recently to raise objection to the way the Ontario government is handling Ring of Fire negotiations.  Not even those communities downstream in the Mushkegowuk territories....

Eventhough there appears to be a "Direction for a Renewed Regional Process for Development in Matawa First Nations Traditional Territories" ( see link below ) resolution that has been agreed upon, I still get the feeling that Matawa is divided on certain issues.  Clearly, if they were all in agreement then Neskantaga and Eabametoong would not be acting out on their own.
