Folks, for a mere $782.08 per ticket (and there is a limited supply), you can register, pay and attend this event at Mars to mingle with the "important" people.
It's called the "social finance forum." (Nov. 7-9)
Here's the link ...and whip out your credit card :)

Below is a link to give you some details:
A multitude of speakers will be there I notice Blackrock's appearance and also notice
Shannin Metatawabin ...he's from the Mushkegowuk Nation , Fort Albany
Also notice:
Canada’s impact investing market is growing fast – but it’s just getting started. These sessions reveal the innovations that are meeting the increased demand for impact investing options across the country, with a particular focus on indigenous communities.
The memory banks were working overtime when I saw the Metatawabin name.
The chief elected this August at Fort Albany is also a Metatawabin.

But, it is this article...that has me thinking..notice the comments from another Metatawabin..
One man, who said he was from Fort Albany, challenged the Ontario government’s perception of the territorial land ownership for the Ring of Fire.
The man who identified himself as Perry Metatawabin said the provincial view of legal entitlement of the land is not shared by everyone.
“It is so different from the Mushkegowuk traditional territory,” said Metatawabin. “Our traditional land is so different from your map.”
He said this was traditionally determined by the usage of lakes and rivers by community members and information passed down by elders.

The link below is from Sept of this year. I just can't get over how the green shading on the map suggests that Marten Falls is on the Mushkegowuk side. Is this just incorrect green colouring?

Please go back and re-read my post from May of this year.

Keep in mind also this :
https://www.mndm.gov.on.ca/en/mines-and-minerals/resource-revenue-sharing
Resource revenue sharing (RRS) will enable First Nations to share in the economic benefits of forestry and mining operations near their communities. The RRS agreements will provide a source of funding for First Nations to allocate towards key priorities, including economic development, education, health, community and cultural initiatives.
Starting in the fall of 2019, partner First Nations will receive 45 per cent of government revenues from forestry stumpage, 40 per cent of the annual mining tax and royalties from active mines at the time the agreements were signed, and 45 per cent from future mines in the areas covered by the agreements.

Although Marten Falls is not listed as a reserve in this agreement, there is the threat perhaps of being added to this agreement.
I keep going back to my post about the 2 new ridings and the end result of what Marten Falls decided. Why did they have the province make that change? What is this comment really meaning?? "Perry Metatawabin said the provincial view of legal entitlement of the land is not shared by everyone.
“It is so different from the Mushkegowuk traditional territory,” said Metatawabin. “Our traditional land is so different from your map.”
I guess ...if Marten Falls was in the Muskegowuk territory...if would kind of make the matawa framework agreement ...obselete?
And the gofundme Ford ROF thing by Eabametoong and Neskantaga would be ..where exactly?
Mushkegowuk already has a revenue sharing deal.
