If I were  Chief's : Moonias or Atlookan I'd be following the story of the protest -rally in Calgary yesterday.

Wow, 2000 people ..looking very upset.

"People in droves are taking to Twitter (alongside their protesting efforts) to express their anger with the Trudeau government’s perceived failure to proactively look out for the best interests of the vital Canadian oil and gas industry."

Protesters filling the street outside the Hyatt regency chanting “Pipeline. Now.” Calgary Police officer said he would estimate about 2000 people here "

The chanting..of "when I say pipeline..you say NOW."

and yet weeks ago...you get this Chief stating it's about what the gov't wants that is is NOT about the Canadian people.

Well 2000  Angry Canadian people took to the streets yesterday.....disagreeing with him. People are hurting and they want jobs.

Oct. 3, 2018...

Tsleil-Waututh Nation Sundance Chief Rueben George said "he feels" a fair consultation process would determine that the project to pump bitumen from Alberta to tankers anchored off the B.C coast is not worth the environmental risk to whales, the water and the land.

"It's about what they want, it's not about the Canadian people, it's not about the lands and waters," said George.

Sohi said during the news conference that No First Nation has "a veto" to block the project at the end of the new round of consultations.

You don't need a crystal ball to see that should the gov't keep dragging it's feet .. all the people employed directly or indirectly in the mining industry will also start to express their anger with the Trudeau government’s perceived failure to proactively look out for the best interests of this vital industry.

The Rof is a very high profile project and the years of getting no where have hurt mining investment and jobs.

If the Chiefs are looking at the Calgary anger, they probably get that Trudeau is getting ready for upcoming elections next year...and votes count.

This protest does not look good on him. The inactivity at the ROF does not look good on him.

And in case Moonias or Atlookan needed another reminder... Sohi said during the news conference that No First Nation has "a veto" to block the project at the end of the new round of consultations.

The same can be said for the ROF.
