check out the unemployment in south Africa.

They used to take their chrome and process it into ferrochrome and then they made stainless steel.

someone in SA leadership decided to send raw chrome to China, and China became the largest ferrochrome producer using South African Chrome! And they made stainless and this helped create the almost 1/3 unemployment South Africa has.
