To my odd way of thinking it is not strange at all:
If they drill on my land then what they find I have no doubt that I will get a fair piece of it.

However if they drill on my neighbour's land and find something, what chance have I of getting anything?.

Only way is if I say that the neighbour's land is also partly mine, or if they need to cross my land to get to my neighbour's by means of a road.
Seems very logical (to me) ;-), is it not? Ed
