After reading that stockhouse post. I had to get out a hankie to wipe away the tears. :)
Such hopes dashed....
written by such a "kind caring thoughtful individual"?.. aiming to save ourselves from ourselves.
so folks...should you get out now ...as suggested ..invest elsewhere for lets say.. 2 years ...and come back?
I must congratulate the stockhouse poster on a well written post.
You could feel the warm blanket put around your shoulders, the offer of a cozy pair of fuzzy slippers and a steaming cup of hot cocoa with those cute little marshmallows floating on top...sigh...
Similar "kind, thoughtful caring " advice was provided to the shareholders of Star Diamond not long ago...over at Stockhouse..
Oct. 15..a very depressing article came out regarding Star Diamonds.
Headlines of " There will be NO mine until OUR DEMANDS are met!"
Wow, so ...threatening...
And then the killer...the gov't wanted UP TO THREE more months to review the Environmental Assessment...
And so ...the Stockhouse poster "kindness" started...
Readers were "kindly?" told to take advantage of tax loss selling season and get back in ....later.
So,..sell Oct. 15 and get back in a minimum of a month later.
Sounds like good, arm chair, warm furry blankie, hot cocoa advise...Right?
Not for the shareholders of Star Diamond.
Actually...if you took the advice...You were left not happy 9 days later.....when Star Diamond got an approved environmental assessment. Ouch...
============================================================
Oh and by the way...Star Diamond's closing price was down even the day before the NEWS! You had NO head's up of anything good coming.
============================================================
So, I would be careful at the "timing" of this caring, armchair advice you are reading.
Mr. Armchair,fuzzyblanket,hotcocoa"...writes:
"First off, the hiring of the engineering firm, AECON by Marten Falls First Nation is great, as it is part of the process of fulfilling the environmental assessment for the road. Here's the bad news . . . the goverment can't declare any road until this process is complete. It won't be complete, as both Marten Falls and Noront have recenty and publicly stated, until mid-late 2020 at the earliest..."
Actually, Mr. Fuzzy got the engineering name wrong....It is not Aecon....it is AECOM (two different companies ..entirely)
Also the AECOM -Marten Falls news came out Nov.22...three weeks ago...It took Mr. Fuzzy 3 weeks to react to this news?
Secondly, Mr Fuzzy writes:
"the goverment can't declare any road until this process is complete"
Hmmm....
So no road until there is an approved EA?? That part I agree with.
But here is the problem with what Mr. Fuzzy said. Mr. Fuzzy is conveniently forgetting about Noront's East West Road in the LONG OVER DUE EA. And by the way... AECOM was also involved with that.
https://www.ceaa-acee.gc.ca/050/documents/p63925/89363E.pdf
"preferred route is the upgrade of the existing winter road alignment into an all season road. The all season road will begin in pickle lake and terminate at Webequie junction. A winter road will provide the connection from webequie junction to Eagles nest. Project also allows for the completion of an air strip at site."
Folks, my suggestion is ....DO NOT FORGET the above statement. Do not forget that MR. Fuzzy does not feel it important to bring up this VERY IMPORTANT Fact...the Noront PREFERRED route that has been in the EA system for YEARS..
. Also, regarding the air strip..Don't forget about the below...
============================================================
May 20, 2015 — Webequie, Ontario — Industry Canada/FedNor
The Honourable Greg Rickford, Canada's Minister of Natural Resources and Minister for the Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario (FedNor), announced today a Government of Canada investment to help maximize the economic potential of the Webequie Airport, and to support jobs, growth and prosperity in the region.
FedNor funding of $1,360,000 will enable the Webequie First Nation to conduct a two-phased redevelopment plan for its airport that will address the increasing demand on its single airstrip.
Phase one will include the evaluation of commercial options, as well as the engineering scoping study for the airport and adjoining lands. Phase two will entail the completion of a business plan for a commercial park development, along with preliminary technical airport design, environmental impact assessment, and facility design.

Webequie First Nation plans to build, operate and maintain a multi-use transportation corridor from the Webequie First Nation community to the proposed Ring of Fire mineral development area in northern Ontario.
The corridor will include an all-season road.

Folks, the decision is yours.
Listen to Mr. Fuzzy ...or think about what I have written above.
An approved Noront Environmental Assessment housing a AECOM involved NORONT Preferred east west route can come out at any time the powers to be ...feel like it.
Watching the share price plunge lately....(just like Star Diamond did ...before the approved EA ..even the day before news!)....
And the cleverly written post by the stockhouse poster...trying to help us....??
Really?
My suggestion, .......Just think about it.
