Bighorn,

Did you notice there was no east west road illustrated in the corporate presentation?

https://www.sudbury.com/around-the-north/rickford-promises-progress-in-the-ring-of-fire-1212466

Jan 25, 2019, it was announced:

Prior to the start of last year’s provincial election, funding was released for a road study and environmental assessment of the first leg of a north-south access corridor up as far as Marten Falls First Nations, about 100 kilometres short of the mineral deposits

but,

What about the funding released  in 2015 for the East west Road? The original date of the release was actually on a Sunday the day PDAC opened in 2015 (a joint announcement by Gravelle and Rickford).

Recently "some" in the East west road study have been quite vocal about being ..ignored.

What is going on behind the scenes with the east west road? This road has been in Noront's environmental assessment for years and had Kiewit's stamp on it.

Remember this statement Feb.25?

"As announced in the Fall Economic Statement, the Ontario government has been reviewing the Far North Act with the goal of reducing red tape and restrictions on important economic development projects in the Far North including the Ring of Fire, all-season roads and electrical transmission projects for communities."

goal of reducing red tape, would speed things up.

Do you remember Coutts speaking at the Sudbury Chamber when he said "first nation were to be the proponents of the road...shovels in ground Jan-Feb, and mine building to start at the same time?"

Which road was he talking about?

I'd like to hear more about the other road.
