One phrase thats been tossed around this week during the CN rail blockades with First Nation Mohawks is "consultation in not consent." I wish Greg Rickford all the best in negotiations that may still not be close to yet happening.

My understanding is we have 3 of 9 onboard in favor of mining development so far but 5 would be the majority wouldn't it? Does majority rule democratically speaking or do the First Nations have a different governing and ruling formula ?

I heard Bill Gallagher the lawyer say we must have full approval or we are in for a battle rather then a deal. What a long and dragged out process so far.
