Same game plan. Different field. Neskantaga is our dissident First Nation holding out for more. Now seeking a sympathy from those other than their own, who have fresh ears to listen to them cry foul. Until Matawa settles this never-ending " We Want More " attitude and convince their fellow communities to accept what is fair, whether that be resource revenue, partnership, or a proportional equity stake, then this greed and jealousy will be ever present.
You can't tell me in one breath that your worried about climate change, pollution, dirty water and travelling on deteriorating remote roads, and in another, gripe about the cost of food, flying in supplies, and no adequate hydro or internet. You have to make a choice. What do you want? What do you need?...Quit treating the rest of Canada like idiots. We too (the rest of Canada) are not looking to effect the air, water, or animals. So get off this high horse your riding. Quit wanting your cake and eating it too....Enough already....Sheesh.
If It's money... Just say so...Quit beating around not just the bush...because by now it's been the bushes.
Prime example...What I like to call Chief " Two Breaths "
......But in public letters sent last week to the federal government and to other chiefs, Adam said he's worried that Alberta's failure to consult and take meaningful action on environmental concerns — ranging from caribou habitat to water issues — could jeopardize the project......
.......Adam also raised money: "If the government of Alberta is serious about getting Indigenous communities on board with major industrial projects, it should provide a share of the realized tax revenue from each project.".....
SO.... Which is it that is holding things back? The group, or the personal interests of the select few who are holding out for more.
