You had me until you started ranting about oil and gas and east vs west.

The ring and alberta are two separate beasts, and are literally competing against eachother. You can't have a robust oil and gas sector and also start building electric cars. Alberta had better grow up and find something else to do, because the oil in the ground is going to stay there for some time to come. I can understand the Albertan resentment of the Libtards (their term) because of tradition, but Trudeau did not invent Elon Musk, and he also did not invent climate change. Basing an entire economy on oil, not saving any cash for a rainy day, and failing to diversify have all come to bite Albertans in the a$$.

I wonder if holding tight purse strings on access roads, development grants, etc. is because of Liberals trying to save face in the eyes of Albertans? After spending how many billions of dollars on a stupid pipeline that will never be used even if it's finished (spoiler alert, it'll never be finished).

Which, by the way, is a good idea. When a barrel of oil is $1000 in the year 2300, come talk to me about starting up again.
