In 1996, the takeover bid on Diamond Fields from Inco (now owned by Vale) for the Voisey's Bay deposit in Labrador was $4.5 billions. This deposit was 141 million tonnes. In the RING OF FIRE, with the Eagle's Nest Ni-Cu and PGE deposit and the BlackBird and Black Thor chromite deposits, NOT have more tonnage than Voisey's Bay. If we devide the Voisey's Bay takeover bid with NOT shares, we get $4.5 billions / 500 millions = $9 per share.
IMHO an offer below the range of $3.5 to $4 per share would be an absolute steal on this once in a lifetime opportunity. I will not let go my shares with a ridiculous $0.70 or $1 offer.
