Just my opinion, but the next offer is NOT nessesarily the final bid. Most likely Wyloo's accepted offer will have a condition similar to the offer BHP has on the table, whereas competing superior offers have a determined amount of time to come forward.

Yes it seems like a long time behind curtains, but if you have ever had anything go through lawyers etc, it probably isn't unreasonable.
