Message: BHP and Wyloo coming to terms over Noront tussle - Australian Resources & Investment

If the deal that BHP proposes is so mutually beneficial then why is it that BHP has to be the one to buyout Noront? Why NOT both of them? If they do it together as a partnership it could, in fact, be the best option for shareholders. Especially, if it is incorporated into the ideal scenario offered in the Wyloo deal. A deal where shareholders have the option of a continuance, or cashout to an offer much higher than 75 cents a share, or a bit of both. I'm sure the two of them can muster up enough cash between them to sweeten any cash deal.  Again, so far BHP is only seems worried about themselves and has shown total disregard for shareholders. This could change that foul taste in the mouths of the shareholders, and make this takeover more palatable...N'est pas.

What we have here right now is NOT a takeover, this is a takedown. I, for one, taking the liberty of speaking for many, demand to hear from our BOD as to why they have acted so cowardly. They have shown themselves to be more like submissive, self-centered, little minions than CEOs. So eager to serve the master that offers them, and not their shareholders, the best deal...Our BOD would be better off shuttering the doors to their Ring of Fire operations and tightening their belts than sellout in desperation....Put a big sign on the property, "Closed for Winter. Sorry...NOT FOR SALE."

But there is hope....The fight does have that third entity we were looking for, and that third entity is retail. We stand between these two as the rope in this tug of war. But somehow this rope which should have been used for war is instead now being fashioned into a noose. A noose that BHP is asking us to choke ourselves with ...The ole "Just go away and die...Will ya". Even our BOD is asking us to do the same. So....If we cannot trust our BOD than we must trust ourselves. BUY, but do not sell. Remember....Only Wyloo has offered us shareholders a line to save ourselves. Instead of a noose to hang from. BHP should be expected to do the same.

All BHP wants is subservience from Wyloo, and for Forrest to yield and bow before them. Even when it is quite apparent that such a desperate move shows they're clearly losing this fight. Such arrogance...Forrest can easily turn the tables and force BHP to assume the position and they know it...I expect at that Forrest will NOT yield, but instead stand his ground. If he does not than all that he done over the years to stay out of BHP's shadow will be for NOT.

TM.
