Re hashed political posturing. When the Ford government came in to power and the "riding the bulldozer to open up the North" stunt was fromt and centre, the Feds said that they are a willing partner in the opening up of the north and asked for a detailed plan from Ontario on the process forward. What they got from the Ford government was a request for matching $$ without any specifics as to how/where/when the funds would be allocated. Blindly handing over $1 Bil to any province would be foolhardly. So, here we are heading towards another election campaign and Ford resurrects the hollow attempt to push blame on the Feds for the lack and resolve of his government to act on the ROF. The rhetoric hasn't change, the minister is the same.
Maybe a smart reporter will ask Ford or Rickford what they think about the takeover competition between BHP and Wyloo for Noront and have they been in contact with either company.
