Message: Re: I guess we will see if BHP just walks away

“We’ve got a view on the value of these assets and if we don’t think BHP is going to pay that price, we’re not going to sell it.

“They’ll have to go back to the desk and form a view of what they think it’s worth, but we’ve got a very strong view of what we think it’s worth and that’s why we made the bid today.”

All cards are now on the table.  Wyloo can't/won't partner with BHP but seems to imply they'd sell for a price, of which am sure was brought up during discussions with BHP.   Looks like it's all or nothing for BHP.  Also contrary to another opinion don't see why they would want a pesky Ontario government having any ownership position either.

Glad to see Wyloo sticking to their offer of shareholders cashing in or retaining shares in the New Noront.  If BHP withdraws and Wyloo moves ahead with takeover, sharholders will need to vote on it.  This is where hopefully they will disclose all the activities that they may have had with FNs and perhaps governments and what the roadmap forward is.  This info will be crucial in deciding whether to cash or stay a shareholder.  Could also boost the sp of the New Noront immediately which am sure would suit them just fine.

Merry Christmas all.
