The TSX will be closed on Dec 27 and 28 (in lieu of Christmas Day and Boxing Day) and then again in Jan 3 (in lieu of New Years Day). It also closes early (1pm) on Dec 24 (Christmas Eve).

So IF (big if) the BOD declares the Wyloo offer "Superior" after the markets close tomorrow (Dec 21), then I believe BHP has until Dec 30 to respond. If they wait until Wednesday BHP may have untiil Jan 4.

I'm not sure if/how the 1/2 day on Dec 24 factors in. Is that a "business day", or NOT?

Either way, if the elves at the Esker camp finish with the toys, Mike Henry will still have a chance to play Santa rather than the Grinch.
