Musk has been successful with Tesla in the EV automobile market for the first adopters but doesn't have the resources to expand as rapidly as they need to.

Virgin Atlantic and all that comes with space travel is where his head is. Think within the year he will sell Tesla and focus on spaceX and satellites.
