You could eaily replace the handgun with Winchester Model 94 Trapper's Special (a very short 30-30).

Not need to take things to extremes with the chinese grey suit comment. I come from a family who loves to hunt and fish, and have hunetd myself on many occasions.

I do not necessarily believe that a complete ban of handguns is necessary, and the government would probably never do that, but signing the petition sends a message to the goverment that much more action needs to be taken.

Do you now that a innocent pedestrian, and father of a 9 year old boy, was very recently killed on Yonge street in downtown Toronto by a 23 year old with his registered handgun as the kid attemted to shoot the bouncer of strip club who had just thrown him out of the club. This kid fired his weapon from a moving car on the street and killed this pedestrian as he happened to be walking by. Now, why did this kid even have a legal registerd handgun??? Its not only unregistered and illegal weapons that are involved in crimes.

I think theree at least has to be much, much stiffer penalties for illegal poisession of a handgun, and also a minimum age requirement that would prevent anyone in their twenties from owning or possessing one. Greater action also need to be taken to prevent the illegal importation of handguns into this country...
