The fish that you used for bait, and which you thought could talk, was Barney Fife - and yes, he talks and sounds just like he did on the Andy Miller show (and he's also known as "the fish barney miller" - if you haven't seen the movie, you didn't miss much - though it is referred to in the movie "So I Married An Axe Murderer" starring your fellow Canadian, Mike Myers - so you should at least view it for that reason). Because you ran that hook through some part of his body, he was probably, temporarily, speechless (when people turn into fish, it is hard to exactly tell where their gonads are) - hence the temporary speechlessness when you put the hook through what, apparently, was formerly his groin. The fact that he refused to cooperate and lie still for a bigger fish to eat as bait, was definitely a symbol of Noront. Even though they've been kicked in the groin by their current assay labs, and should be laying still, groaning (by the way, I've always wondered about the closeness of those words - groin & groan - I surmise that the latter developed from the former, after the former was abused in some manner - oh - back to the main point). Though Noront should be knocked down or laying still, having been severely abused by the assay labs, it is like your fish - swimming so vigorously (despite being injured temporarily in the groin) that it cannot be caught and eaten by a bigger fish (Vale, Norislk, Xstrata, BHP Billiton, etc.). In fact, if you had kept sleeping and not awoken from your dream, the fish (symbolizing Noront) would have suddenly grown so large in size and so vigorous that it jumped out of the water, into your boat and, while its mouth was clamped onto your chin, demanded that you remove the hook (the fish cannot only talk, but can do so while its mouth is firmly attached to you chin - perhaps ventriloquism abilities?), and then proceeded to b*tch slap you in the face with its wet scaly tail, until you jumped out of the boat, and the fish (Noront) drove the boat happily away (with its extremely large gill fins, of course) to the fish palace where it was honored as the most worthy fish to receive riches beyond any other fish that existed before.
