For those interested in the above topic, I recommend the following book as a very entertaining and informative read.

METAL MEN:Marc Rich and the 10-Billion-Dollar Scam, by A. Craig Copetas, Harper & Row, Publishers, 1986

As a side note, Marc Rich International was the precursor of Glencore International, the controlling shareholder of Xstrata. Also, of note is the fact that during his last days in office, President Bill Clinton, granted Marc Rich a full pardon.
