A Tragic Day

Today a helicoptor went down ferrying workers to the Hibernia and White Rose oil fields off Newfoundland. Of 18 people on board, there was one survivor. My prayers go out to all the families who may have lost love ones or acquaintances. Newfoundland is a big place with a small close knit friendly population. I don't have any family working off shore at present but I can assure you that someone was lost that I know or have some connection to. I realize this is off topic, but is it really? Noront and other exploration companies are always in uninhabited and northern climates and areas flying in people and supplies to remote destinations always with the threat of weather and mechanical failure. We as shareholders worry about slow assays, stock manipulation and someone buying us out prematurely. The people really making it happen are working twelve hour shifts, flying in snowstorms in Otters, landing on lakes and ice runways, living away from home for weeks at a time. I think at a time like this, we have to think about the families who are waiting at home, sometimes in vain.
