Hi All. Reading with interest the difficulty of keeping the board free or reduced in clutter. The difficulty of keeping everyone happy. The difficulty of monitoring, decision making and acting on the part of hub leaders to try to keep our forum a first class one.
Personally, I think the board works rather well. And like the stock market, self-corrects.
Our stock just went from .64 to over 3.00 and has settled in the 2.20 range quite comfortably. THAT changed the board. The Fun was on. Like kids bubbling over with excitement, we let our hair down quite a bit. We also had a lot of new people posting, posting, posting.
Prior, we were a community where we exchanged thoughts, ideas, happiness and anger related to everything related to NOT. That is what a community does.
Over time I have noticed, that the 6 rules work fairly well. Once in a while, our tails are jerked, and we come back to sensibility.
The point I am trying to make is that the forum is just more than a place for DD. It is a living, breathing US. What? No more BIZ? He has always been On Topic in my mind.
What? No more humour? No more fun? No more angry? No more sadness? No more?
The bottom line is that we are human. You can regulate the board all you want, but, from time to time, the rules will get broken. NOT is our investment, and we have aligned ourselves with a very emotional, volitile little lady. As a result, the board will get emotional. On Topic, Off Topic, or any Topic at all.
I respect and accept all rules that result. I hope it allows a place for your Vermillion.
