By virtue of this target being a 50/50 JV, had the target hit big, it had the potential to change not only the NOT 4-1 offer but the also the present trading ratio of 3+-1.

Mac didn't have to drill the target at this time. It was a calcuated risk (for a timely NI hit)that obviousy did not pan out.

As a NOT shareholder, I certainly would have loved a big hit but...
