People with ulterior and inferior motives will do anything to try to mislead. Don't let that upset you. I would think anyone legitimately trying to seek enlightenment on their investments at least reads and absorbs your posts. The unfortunate side of Agoracom's system is that it enables a relatively small number (perhaps 20 or fewer) of very active and motivated posters to heavily influence and ultimately control several aspects of the voting system. Anonymity on the one hand is essential to participation, but on the other hand assures malfeasence. Every message board and stock forum I have seen has a different version of the disease, some so serious the boards are totally impaired.

In NOT's case , because of the acrimonious control battle, you know there is also a platoon of posters who simply are paid to try to limit or influence discussion of some points. The number and timing of high count fluff posts is a statistical giveaway . But it goes with the territory . And there are thousands of serious readers who have never posted on a discussion forum.

In NOT's case, we are extremely fortunate to have many great posters, some with obvious professional backgrounds , who float over the muck and mire to post what they know are value added details or valid points for discussion. They simply do not care about the overburden and poop. And that will anger those with other motives. In all, it is a superb source of informed opinion and timely information.
