Targeting High Grade Uranium on the Athabasca Trend
The main North American source is BEM's Utah mine with 5.94 million tons grading 0.267% Be, or 15,900 tons of Be, enough to supply North America for 100 years at current production levels.
Zealand, on the other hand, has 315,000 tonnes of 0.1% BeO or about 35 tonnes of BeO - rather a minor deposit for an element of limited use, which is highly toxic.
Zealand is reported to contain molybdenite (MoS2) and wolframite (tungsten) as possible byproducts but no defined grade is available for these elements.
