Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the comments about being fired came from the AGM and the wording was more like, "If we're not successful in selling the company by this time next year then we deserve to be fired."
I'm going from my memory of what was reported on the boards because I didn't make it to the AGM myself. The wording probably isn't exactly what was said but the impetus is there. I took it as an off the cuff comment that showed how confident they were that one year was more than enough time to fulfill their plans. Mind you, plans have changed slightly since then. And (thinking out loud here) I have thought the licensing plan may just be posturing to bring shareholders the best return. The plan may still be to sell the company outright but if we start down the road to licensing the technology, the real value can be shown and a premium can be demanded.
All IMO, of course.
