I agree with you totally about what should be the immediate business goals Aves..

However, the article quoted demonstrates factually the potential growth in the market for POET powered products, both in the network architecture and end user products. Without that growth and demand for greater speed, data storage or faster networks, the advantages offered by POET would not make it the outstanding product it has the potential to be.

No Aves this is not 'Pie in the sky' the BoD would be myopic if it only focused at this time on tecnical goals. Taking the long view in its business case and aiming POET at the right market is part of making this ground breaking technology a great success.
