Not sure when they started but the one advisor told me the gov is now really watching for this and may look at other methods to tax a TFSA. They may even stop offering it as a vehicle if they decide too much tax revenue is lost. Leave the ones in place but not allow new accounts to be set up in the future. So our kids may not be able to get a TFSA. Sad but true. Hello Cayman Islands. D
