Message: Gallium Arsenide GaAs

When searching on the GSF website, I found BASF to participate. That is interesting...

Speaking for Europe, GaAs has been registered by the EU Regulation (REACH):

http://apps.echa.europa.eu/registered/data/dossiers/DISS-9eb10650-da4f-6514-e044-00144f67d031/DISS-9eb10650-da4f-6514-e044-00144f67d031_DISS-9eb10650-da4f-6514-e044-00144f67d031.html

See the companies after "Registrants/Suppliers". Not sure who is covered behind "confidential" - might or might not be BASF. Will this bring any link to POET?

Slightly important is the fact that GaAs is not considered to be a hazardous chemical in the EU. This would mean no high regulatory burdens regarding its import/manufacturing and use.

Second, BASF is working on probably similarity to what POET is doing (does anyone understand the details better than I do?), see the pdf when clicking on the link:

I don't know if POET might cooperate with BASF regarding the technical and monetization projects.

Looking forward to your comments.
