To sepcify my comment

Slightly important is the fact that GaAs is not considered to be a hazardous chemical in the EU. This would mean no high regulatory burdens regarding its import/manufacturing and use.

=> the solid form is not classified. The dust form is classified, but this is more related to its physical state.

We're anyway not to close to using much dust for the technology that is under development ;o)
