One would think that Poet would drop the venture exchange and move to the TSX in short order. If you want to be taken seriously in Canada, then the TSX would be their best bet.

Unless, they have plans to sell or move the company to the US. In which case, they may just drop the Canadian listing altogether. Obviously, a move is pure speculation but their research is currently conducted in the US and a large concentration of future customers will come from the US and this will become more and more dominant going forward. With a 16 employee company a move would be very easy.

For now, lets get that US listing. Most financial institutions (both Canadian and US) have rescrictions regarding investments they can make. There are both price level and market level requirements. Currently, Poet does not qualify for most major institutional investmets (mutual funds etc.) due to the country, exchange, price and revenue. All of these are being addressed a could bear fruit within the next few months. This will open up an entirely new group of investors to Poet. I have been accumulating.
