Message: A thread to ponder
All of this talk about the risks, made me consider a question. If management is truly focused on the licensing path for POET and have no intent on selling, given the potential Eileen presented, how will (have they) protected "us" from the possibility that " PTI will never be allowed to grow to full maturity before being gobbled up by a google, apple, etc". These high stakes games have very astute legal teams and market specialists who, like in chess, should be able to forecast what the opponent will do, given a particular move of our own. Hence the extreme secrecy of PTI. Now that the proverbial cat is out of the bag with AM aboard, my hopes are that enough necessary precautions have been taken to avoid a takeover at a relatively low value. Whatever that is. 3,4,10 billion? For those in the know of how the game is played, please share with us typical strategies and counter measures that can be used in these instances. One that I see is the alliance with Global Foundries (unofficially of course). But what is to stop a big fish from slapping down a $10 billion offer to shareholders? Just thinking out loud here. There will be many that would take $20/share right now, even though next year it may be worth 5 times that. And so on and so on. Thoughts welcomed. Good night all. Derekwpg
