I'm not speaking for FJ, but you need to think this thing through.
Think about how disruptive it would be to the supply chain of say iPhone7 if POET were to say it had a far superior computing product available. What if Apple is a potential suitor? Would they want all of their suppliers to bail on them, not knowing how POET would affect their sales? It's just a small example of the far bigger picture.
They don't release it because their potential customers would be royally pissed if they did.
It's that simple.
I haven't had conversations with any POET people and I can see that it is commercially viable from what they've told us. The company probably resisted issuing that statement again, at the behest of their customers.
