Thank you for this marvelous post, Eileen! I agree 100 percent. This really explains it. Would I know or care about POET if I weren't a tech guy? Would I be so deeply invested? No, definitely not! (It was after the Pellegrino 1 report appeared when I heard about POET in 2011. Monolithical optoelectronical integration caught me immediately, and I learned a lot since then.)
I believe we 1.) need revenue for the share price to go north (we have many folks at the sidelines waiting for just that), and then we 2.) need a big brand as our partner/customer for awareness of the masses. Quite likely the "3rd party foundry" is such a brand. However, they decided to keep everything in stealth mode for now and to fly under the radar.
